Partners in the implementation of activities, alliances and networks
The implementation of joint actions along with national and international governmental and civil society organizations aimed at achieving joint goals joining forces with all stakeholders in order to achieve a more socially fair and sustainable world.
Local alliances are established with neighborhood associations, NGO’s, and even informal groups that work with sustainable development issues that have a great growth potential or an established leadership but need some sort of support such as: technical, institutional and especially financial support in order to strenghthen their actions.
In order to strenghten local alliances, Vitae Civilis tries to include activities and resources within their projects that allow it to set out the demands of these institutions. For example, making our technicians available to provide support to certain activities such as creating bylaws, facilitating local Agenda 21 processes, guiding forest engineering and agronomic processes etc. Another way of working is by the creation of projects whose accomplishment aimes at setting out the demands as well as strenghthening and creating conditions of making these partners autonomous.
A third way of working is by supporting the obtainment of financial resources for local alliances. This has been possible thanks to the participation of Vitae Civilis’ members in the Brazilian Council of Global Green Grants Fund (GGF). GGF provides small funds to associations which work with environmental issues based on the selection and observation of institutions and people that are part of it’s board. Since 2010, CASA – Centro de Apoio Socio Ambiental established partnerships with Vitae Civilis strenghthening local alliances.
